Microsoft had already announced the release of Windows 11. But before installing Windows 11 into your system, you need to be aware of the fact, whether your PC is compatible with Windows 11 or not? Windows 10 Being one of the popular operating systems of Microsoft Corporation, the users were eagerly waiting to view something more from Microsoft. And they have kept their words, Microsoft authority had announced the release of Windows 11 on June 24, 2021. But it has not yet been officially released and is expected to release in late 2021.

System requirement for Windows 11

Microsoft has already published the system requirements for Windows 11. The minimum system requirements are not too demanding. The minimum system requirements as per Microsoft’s website, are as follows:

The processor should be a minimum of 1 GHz speed or greater with a minimum of 2 cores and a compatible 64-bit processor.

RAM should be a minimum of 4 GB

Internal storage should be a minimum of 64 GB.

Graphics Card should be DirectX 12 compatible graphics/ WDDM 2.x

The display should be greater than 9″ with HD resolution (720p)

System firmware should be UEFI, Secure Boot capable, and Trusted Platform Module (TPM) version 2.0 should be there in your system.

The processor, RAM, or graphics requirements are too minimum, which most of the 5 to 6 years old laptop or desktop computers have. But the problem is that the old system doesn’t have the security-related hardware component called TPM (Trusted Platform Module). This is where the old system lacks behind.

Check your PC eligible for Windows 11

However, you could check, whether your system is compatible with Windows 11 or not. If you are using Windows 10, click on the Settings icon from your start button, then click on the Update & Security menu. On the left-hand last menu, click on the Windows Insider Program. And while doing this, please do remember that you have an active internet connection, connected with your windows pc.

If your system is not compatible with Windows 11, then you will get the notification from the Windows Insider Program that your PC does not meet the minimum hardware requirement for Windows 11. However, for the eligible devices, Windows 11 will be offered as an upgrade via Windows Update.

For the eligible device owners, if you are planning to upgrade your PC to Windows 11, but are a little worried about the accessories and their drivers connected with your system. Microsoft has already declared that most of the accessories and their associated drivers which worked fine with Windows 10 are expected to work in the same manner with Windows 11. You need not have to worry about the updated drivers for Windows 11 separately, and if any such issue occurs, hope that Microsoft will take care of it.

Windows 11 Licensing

One more question, which may arise in your mind, is what about licensing in the case of Windows 11. So, to this question, Microsoft had announced that there is no unique license required for Windows 11. Windows 10 license will let you run Windows 11 on your eligible supported device.

And regarding servicing issues, Microsoft will provide periodical updates for Windows 11 as in the case for Windows 10.

However, as the operating system is new and officially not yet released, so no one has the deeper or insight knowledge about its pros and cons.
